The Collar & Comb Pet Spa will open soon in West Hollywood at 8490 Santa Monica Boulevard at the intersection of La Cienega Boulevard. Pet education, pet grooming services and pet stores will occupy the premises occupied by Raffi Jewelers (which will be down the street from The Healthy Spot dog grooming salon). The up-and-coming business has made big claims with its racy banners (which some might find offensive) like “We’ll clean your pussy” and “Bitches love bubbles,” which of course refers to “It’s cats.” and bubbles. puppy.
There is currently one Collar & Comb store in Los Angeles at 7813 Sunset Blvd., east of downtown West Hollywood.
Their forward-thinking founder, Paul, developed an innovative concept for his elderly, special-needs pet, Cavallino. They were injured while serving in the army. Cavallino suffered from physical illness, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and eventually geriatric (old) needs. Collar & Comb® was invented after years of trying to find a reliable and trustworthy certified professional.
Sadly, Cavallino is no longer with us, but he remains our guiding spirit and lives on with great service and many accolades. Yelp named them the best pet spa in California. In addition, as an AKC-Safe Certified Salon in California, the American Kennel Association uses our methods and principles to set national standards for the treatment of pets in salons.
